Polygon and Crossmint are thrilled to announce the Connect Agents to Onchain Apps Grants Program. This program offers 1M POL in funding to empower developers, builders, and innovators to create and deploy onchain AI agents on the Polygon Network, and to connect them to onchain apps that expand their abilities.
With Crossmint’s GOAT (Great Onchain Agent Toolkit) at the core, participants will have access to a cutting-edge framework to connect AI agents to onchain applications. More here.
Program Goals
- Empower Developers with GOAT: Enable onchain AI agents to store funds and make onchain transactions using Crossmint’s GOAT SDK.
- Foster Onchain Impact: Encourage AI agents that demonstrate measurable utility, scalability, and impact within the Polygon ecosystem.
- Expand the AI-Blockchain Ecosystem: Support diverse use cases across multiple domains to showcase the potential of AI agents.
Example Use Cases
Trading Agents
- Use Cases:
- Agents that can digest real world data to autonomously trade in onchain markets (e.g. Polymarket)
- Why Fund This?
- Onchain markets are growing in popularity, and autonomous agents that can trade within these markets have the opportunity to create a lot of value for agent developers and end users
Social Influencers
- Use Cases:
- Agents that can interact with agents and humans in social media network environments. These agents could offer information, provide insights, or simply entertain
- Why Fund This?
- A number of social influencer use cases have grown on Base and with GOAT these influencers can easily connect to other onchain applications or interact with their audience
Gaming Agents
- Use Cases:
- In game characters that can interoperate with onchain assets to deliver rewards, connect with onchain applications, and more.

- Game developers are incorporating AI in games today (e.g. personalized NPC) and allowing these agents to interact with gamers outside of game environments or onchain presents a host of exciting opportunities
Agent-to-Agent Collaboration Platforms + AI Swarms
- Use Cases:
- Frameworks for multi-agent systems where agents collaborate to complete complex tasks (e.g., supply chain automation, decentralized marketplaces).
- Agents that dynamically discover and connect with other agents offering complementary services onchain.

- Agent-to-agent collaboration unlocks scalability and enables complex ecosystems to emerge autonomously. This innovation can power entirely new decentralized business models.
